Tempering is a process of slowly cooling glass to relieve internal stresses which develop in the original glass making process. Glass which has not been annealed is liable to crack or shatter when subjected to a relatively small temperature change or mechanical shock. A good annealing process is critical to its durability.

EFCO has manufactured numerous glass annealing and glass tempering systems over the years and actively supports and upgrades older systems which are robust and last for years!
